"Bring it Tony Horton!" Book review - the view of a P90X graduate

Here is my review of Tony Horton book titled "Bring It!" "The revolutionary fitness plan for all levels, which burns fast, builds muscle and shed inches." The book is 304 pages and shows readers how to create plans her own fitness and nutrition based on their individual, lifestyle, preferences and goals.

I am a thorough graduate of Tony's power 90 and P90X workout programs. I have nothing but praise for the programmes, since they helped me my own physical transformation had been responsible. Since I have read the book and have gone through some of Tony's DVD workout programs, wanted that I explain what exactly, is covered in the book as well as some similarities and differences between the two.

Book contents

The book is divided into four parts or chapters. They are the principles, the routines, the movements and the food.

Tony speaks in the chapter and its benefits to develop principles of his philosophy. Tony is going to develop in your own fitness strategy that you can change in the course of time to reach your fitness goals. What kind of fitness level meter are at, Tony recorded, some tests for the reader to determine his or her fitness quotient and levels. The principle section ends with Tony explains why most people fail and quit an exercise program, what to do to avoid as well as tips for success with a fitness program.

In the chapter, Tony routines lists three workout routines, achieved on the basis of what in the FQ test from section 1. It is routine that beginners routine, the Striver routine and the warriors. Each of the routines provides a weekly schedule includes three days of strength training, two days of cardio and one day of yoga. There are several examples of resistance training sessions, including how to properly warm up, stretch and cool down. The resistance training are full body circuit training style. For all three routines, I would say that the whole structure as a P90X, power 90 master series is hybrid.

Moves in the chapter are statements Tony explains how to set up and run all the exercises in chapter listed routines. The trains are divided into 5 parts; Cardio-vascular system, upper body, arms, lower body, core and flexibility/yoga. Included in this chapter, there are approximately 128 trains over 120 pages. There is nothing new, who has gone through P90X, but for someone who went there a lot not by one of Tony's program packaged here.

In the chapter on the meal plan, Tony explains his approach to nutrition. He says it is a sensible, simple, diet-oriented approach for weight loss and improved health. He not you subscribe to fads and stresses the benefits of healthy feed not only weight control. He calls his plan a concept "Flexitarian" which means a diet mainly of vegetable origin with a focus on whole foods. This gives your body all nutritional building blocks that it needs. The food includes fiber complex carbohydrates; lean, healthy proteins; Tonnes of fruit and vegetables; and healthy fats. The dishes are divided into three parts. The first part is clean. In this 30-day period, you will gradually clean your body of toxins. This is not fast. It is therefore always the bad out and your body on good teaching. The second part is the magic. At this stage you find listed very nutritious food. Ecologically produced the right kinds of vegetables, fruits, legumes, grains, nuts, seeds, dairy products, protein and healthy fats. The third part is called complemented. Tony talks with at this stage supplements, only if you have removed your actual diet squared. It is intended to replace everything in the maintenance phase.

The book ends its "11 laws of health and fitness" and more than 20 pages of the actual recipes with what Tony calls.

My rating

I am big fan of Tony and his fitness programs and a graduate of P90X, I found the book to be more indoor look like how he puts together his programs and his philosophy on nutrition, as the color of numbers approach to his DVD workout programs.

Overall, I think that this book is easy to read. Someone new to fitness or looking for motivation and understanding could much of the book. When you have finished P90X, you expect learn not to new displacements. Probably, you are already an advanced fitness level and I do not think that you will find that this book takes you to the next level. But a Summit is you get from the book within from Tony's head a little bit. If you think the book is images, which next think P90X, in all fairness, I do not, that is, what was the book developed to do, which is why Tony has his P90X one on MC: 2 programs.

These Tony Horton book review was written to give a clear understanding of what is treated in his book and how it differs from his popular workout video programs such as the P90X workout program. The DVDs do much better in my opinion demonstrate, how to do all the moves, modifications and to avoid such bad form. For this reason, I personally prefer the power 90 or P90X workout videos.
